Technical Training Course Descriptions
X-09 INSTALLATION/OPERATION (One day)
This certification course provides in-depth training for installation, operation and programming of the X-09 lock and presents the differences between it and the X-08. Students will be taught to handle the X-09 without causing ESD damage to the lock during the installation process; set up the lock in various modes of operation; change combinations; recognize and clear error conditions in the lock; auditing procedures; and basic troubleshooting. Also taught are proper removal procedures of the lock's back cover and information regarding the lock's internal parts. During the programming section, students will operate the lock in single, dual, and supervisor/subordinate modes. All tools are provided and students receive a training workbook and product manuals.
A multiple-choice exam is given at the end of each course. Students must score 76% or higher to receive certification of training from Kaba Mas.
CENCON 4 TRAINING
Full Cencon Class (Two days)
Offered at Kaba Mas' training facility in Lexington, KY, or on location, this hands on training class is designed to fit the specific needs of each company. It covers recommended installation procedures of the physical Cencon lock, addressing common issues that often occur during installation. The class also covers the management of Cencon software, including FLM, Route and Bank modes (depending on the company needs). The software management includes lock activation, dispatching and closing locks, troubleshooting techniques, reporting and auditing options as well as supervisory areas including management of keys (users), lock groups, routing and authorized software access and control. Recommended management procedures will be discussed throughout the class. Students will have the opportunity to practice and work through the exercises independently as a test is given at the conclusion of the class.
Bank Mode Only (One day)
Bank Mode Only training is for those companies who do not operate in FLM or Route modes, and covers lock activation, changing combinations, adding/deleting users and obtaining and interpreting lock audits.
